 LEARNING GOALS

 To pass on human-centric values, resource integration, innovative knowledge and internationalized vision to students, the college of management aims to establish a sound learning environment through concerted efforts of its faculty, staff, and students. The department of accounting upholds following five learning goals:

  1. To acquaint students with advanced accounting of the knowledge and to cultivate students' self-learning ability.
  2. To acquaint students with an integrated knowledge between accounting and management, as to prepare students to possess problem solving skills.
  3. To acquaint students with social responsibility, ethical discipline and teamwork ability.
  4. To acquaint students with global perspectives and communication in global contexts.
  5. To acquaint students with information technology skills to enrich students’ ability to integrate resources and understand risk management.

COURSE LIST

 Required courses:

Thesis(6 credit hours)  

Quantitative Methods (minimum of 3 credit hours):

  Econometrics

Accounting courses (12 credit hours):

  Financial Accounting Theory, Advanced Managerial Accounting, Advanced Auditing, and Financial Statement Analysis and Business Valuation.

Professional Ethics (2 credit hours):

  Business Ethics

 Analytical methods (minimum of 3 credit hours):

  Research Methodology

Management courses (minimum of 9 credit hours): 

  Financial Management, Marketing Management, Risk Management, and Operations Management.

Elected courses:

 Accounting auxiliary and application courses (minimum of 10 credit hours): 

       Accounting for Financial Instruments and Services, Seminar in Empirical Tax Research, Seminar:International Accounting, Managerial Control System, Seminar in Accounting Problems (I), and Corporate Sustainable Development and Reporting.

Other related courses (minimum of 3 credit hours) 

       New Vision of Auditing under Digital Age, Digital Innovation in Risk Management and Auditing, and Seminar on Enterprise Sustainability and ESG. 

 

Students in the master's program of this department must fulfill the following two requirements to be eligible for graduation:

1.  Completion of English-Taught Professional Course

Before graduation, students must complete at least one professional course taught in English offered by the College of Management at the master’s level.

2.  English Proficiency Requirement

Students must take an English proficiency test before the end of the first year of their master's program, and the score must reach CEFR B2 High Level .

    Students who fail to meet the required standard must retake the test before the end of the first semester of their second year and meet the required standard,

    or take and pass an additional English-taught professional course approved by the department during their second year.

Only upon fulfillment of either condition will the student be eligible for graduation.

The following three courses are conducted entirely in English and qualify as English-taught professional courses:

  Seminar:International Accounting
