The Dept. of Fin. & Intl. Business Won the First Place in The National Championship of Cross-border E-Commerce Quiz in 2 Consecutive Years

The National Championship of Cross-border E-Commerce Quiz, sponsored by the Importers and Exporters Association of Taipei., has come to the second year this year. More than 400 students from 134 teams of 36 universities and high schools participated in the national Quiz. There are 86 teams from universities, and 48 teams from senior high and vocational high schools. They have competed up from the regional preliminary rounds. Only 18 teams got into the Finals. The team “We Must” from the Dept. of Finance and International Business at Fu Jen Catholic Univesity won the national First Place. The team of Le-Young Wang, Chia-Zoe Lin, and Yun-Yi Lee was advised by Prof. Chien-Shan Han from the Department.  

The Department of Finance and International Business also won First Place last year. The curriculum of the department combines professional fields of Finance and International Business to cultivate “talents for international business and management”. The Dept. also cooperates with finance/insurance companies and international business companies to provide corporate visits, internships, contests, and overseas internships. The hands-on experience in study contributes to the brilliant result.

Learning is never limited to the classroom only. the Finance Laboratory and International Business Laboratory are exclusive student clubs for the students in the Dept. Students have their own lab spaces for business experiments. They organize various exchange and learning activities to broaden their horizons and develop abilities of self-directed learning. With these spaces, students can develop more creative ideas to enhance their professional studies in the Dept.
