Paul Cardinal Shan Medical Building Space

Paul Cardinal Shan Medical Building Space Naming and Acknowledgement for Donors

The College of Management at Fu Jen Catholic University is the first business institution to receive AACSB accreditation between Taiwan and China across the Straits. Academic exchange and cooperation with internationally renowned business schools have been a crucial strategy for the development of the College since then. We also established short-, middle-, and long term academic collaborations with national key universities in China. These effort not only expands the network of educational allies in the world, but also strengthen the development of teaching, learning and research. The challenges we have now is that the College of Management have only limited space.

The University has granted the space from the 10th to the 12th floors of the Paul Cardinal Shan Medical Building for the College to develop the international exchange business. We gratefully thank all the alumni and donors for their tremendous kind support. The spaces in the building has been arranged for classes and various activities since March 2015. It has large-, middle-, and small sized professional classrooms and meeting rooms. Also, there is a huge auditorium for interactive courses, business elite keynotes, and anniversary recreation.

Based on the four core values of the College of Management: human-centric, resource integration, innovative knowledge, global mindset, all the faculty and staff members will work hard together to build a comfortable yet excellent learning environment and provide the best quality business education.

Note 1

Note 1: The Castiglione Hall: Giuseppe Castiglione, S.J. was an Italian Jesuit brother and a missionary in China, where he served as an artist at the imperial court of three emperors – the Kangxi, Yongzheng and Qianlong emperors. He painted in a style that is a fusion of European and Chinese traditions. Brother Castiglione usually pleaded for mercy in front of the emperors for the persecuted Catholics. The College of Management takes him as a role model to cultivate leaders who have empathy to feel others’ sufferings and who are willing to serve people.
Donors’ name and words are engraved on the plate in the Castglione Hall.
