These Regulations were formulated in accordance with Article 40 of Fu Jen Catholic University Academic Policies.

Article 2

Academic and course regulations for the Master in Global Entrepreneurial Management Program (hereinafter “the Program”) are as follows:

1.      Students must complete 36 credits in order to graduate (this number does not include the 6 credits for the thesis).

2.      The curriculum includes required courses and electives.

(1)   Students must take electives hosted by the Program. The Program may recognize a maximum of 6 credits earned in elective courses hosted by a different program at the College of Management.

(2)   A student who previously earned credit in a global entrepreneurship management program at the master’s level may apply to transfer credit provided that the title and subject matter of the course are identical to one offered by the Program. An application to transfer credit must be made during the student’s first semester after enrollment. The final decision on whether or not to recognize credit rests with the Program.

Article 3: Thesis Supervision and Oral Defense

1.      In principle, a student’s thesis advisor must be a full-time instructor at the College of Management. A professional technician hired by the Program or an instructor from another institution may serve as a co-advisor with a full-time instructor at the College.

2.      Students may complete and submit the Thesis Advisor Request Form before the deadline during the second semester of their first year in the Program.

3.      Students must submit the first three chapters of their thesis to the Program office before the deadline in second year in order to facilitate preparations for the public presentation of the three chapters.

4.      Students must publicly present the first three chapters of their thesis before applying for the oral defense.

5.      If in-service master’s students wish to change thesis advisors because of their thesis topic or writing needs, they must complete the Change of Advisor Request Form, obtain the signatures of the original advisor and new advisor, and then submit the form to the Program Director for review and approval.

6.      After the thesis has been revised following the defense, the student’s thesis advisor must sign the Thesis Revision Approval Form. The form and finalized thesis must then be submitted to the Program office for review.

Article 4

Students must help organize and participate in activities and academic events hosted by the Program.

Article 5

Any matters not covered in these Regulations will be handled in accordance with Fu Jen Catholic University Academic Policies and related regulations.
