Faculty Gather to Collaborate and Strive for Continuous Improvement
The "College of Management Mission and Goal Implementation Review Conference," attended by all faculty members, was held on June 24 at the Guoxi Building. This biannual meeting systematically analyzes the college's execution of strategic plans, aiming for self-improvement and promoting sustainable education to meet the spirit of AACSB-Continuous Improvement.
The event began with a Dean Lee's college general report, updating faculty on progress in various initiatives in the College Strategic Plans. Special guest, Professor Li Qi-Hua, PhD., Director of the Office of Research and Development, presented on SDGs and social impact results. The Associate Dean Huang Xiao-Yun briefed on the "AACSB Continuous Improvement Review," followed by a collaborative session where faculty aligned undergraduate and graduate projects and theses with the 17 SDGs and the college’s mission and strategies.
The highlight of the event was the "Outstanding Teaching Faculty Sharing" session, where faculty members shared best practices. Professor Du Yi-Ning, PhD, from the Department of Statistics and Information Science discussed "Employment Transition Courses to Bridge the Gap Between Academia and Industry." Professor Chiu Chia-Chou, PhD. from the Department of Finance and International Business shared insights on "Kindness and Helping Others in Calculus Courses," and Professor Lin Xiang-Lin, PhD. from the Department of Information Management spoke about "Integrating Participatory Teaching Methods in Distance Learning." These exchanges enriched the teaching strategies of the faculty.
The event concluded with the presentation of awards to faculty members for their outstanding achievements in teaching, research, and service for the 2023 academic year.

As the college prepares for the 2024 academic year, a transition in leadership is set to occur. Professor Yeh Hung-Ming, PhD from the Department of Accounting will step down, passing the baton to Professor Lin Yan-Ting, PhD. The new Dean, Professor Huang Mei-Chu, PhD from the Department of Accounting, presented a plaque of appreciation to outgoing Dean Li Jian-Yu. With the upcoming AACSB accreditation, the college is committed to continuous improvement and fostering a positive cycle of growth.
