[International] University of Connecticut Visits College of Management

The Associate Dean Jose Cruz and the Associate Director of International Recruitment Jiajia Chen from the School of Business, ​University of Connecticut (UConn) visited College of Managmenet on March 15th. The Associate Dean Huang welcome them warmly and discussed the possible initiatives for callorations between two universities.

The Univesity of Conneticut is only only a public university but also one of the Ivy League universiteis. It has 14 schools and its School of Business developes rapidly. The Stamford campus is near New York City whereas the Hartford campus is amoung multiple financial and insurance companies. The wonderful geographical location provides plenty of job and internship opportunites for students. In this year’s U.S. News & World Report UConn rankings No. 58 this year. It remained the 26th-ranked public institution in the country by U.S. News & World Report. UConn showed particular strength in timely graduation rates, reputation among peer institutions, and the retention of first-year students in the rankings. UConn’s U.S. News ranking has been steadily improving since 2000, when it was No. 38 among public institutions. The School f Business ranks No. 47 and the graduate programs ranks No. 93.

Both universities shared experiences of the international collaborations and determined certain programs for the initial collaboration as the 4+1 Bridge Program. By the end of the meeting both associate deans share gifts to record the fruitful meeting. ​
